My Favorite Road Trip
A lot of people would tend to agree that road trips can be very stressful to manage because car rides are not the best thing in the world, but I always say that road trips are what I look forward to the most every single year. My family has made it a every year trip to go to our lake house in Michigan. All through my childhood, I have gotten the experience to do my favorite things which all include being on the lake like skiing, swimming, and tubing. Going on this trip has really pulled my family together for a week at least in in the summertime. All throughout my childhood, I have grown up doing sports all year around from month to month. I always cheered which took up my time in the fall months when it was football season which considers practicing starting in July and going to November months. Then I would go to basketball season which runs from November to February. When that was said and done with, I started softball which ran from March to May. I never really had time to ever spend time with my family much throughout my junior high and high school years because of how active I was. I also never got to see my parents while they both had jobs and my siblings to take care of. My favorite week of the whole year is taking our trip, we have always made it known that we were going to go to our favorite restaurant there called Buccilli’s Pizza. Buccilli’s is a small local family owned pizza place that serves the best pizza ever. It is also very popular within the town and is always busy. We usually all sit around outside while we are waiting for our table to be ready while we are all starving and can not wait any longer for food. Besides the food part of this place being my favorite place to eat, I think I love it too because of the memories I have with my family here. I always enjoy when we get to all sit down together and enjoy our meal together. It is very hard to get everyone else together throughout the year since most of my cousins are in college and our parents work their jobs every day. It is so nice to finally get all your family together after not seeing each other for a while. I also love to get to enjoy my favorite meal with the people I am closest to the most. I also cherish the road trips because we spend time together every second of the day. We play cards, cornhole, and sitting by the fire in front of the lake watching the sunset. Even though I can not stand to be outside getting bit by mosquitos, I would never cherish this for anything because it is all the time that I spend with them that makes up for it.
